| Fork Rent vital to the success of Glastonbury Festival |
|
In 2011 Fork Rent supplied 25 Telehandler machines offering the organisers the latest adaptable equipment to set up and dismantle stages, marquees, sanitary, bars and other vital event venues. The machines were used over March to September for preparation, the main event weekend and the post event clear up. The area serviced by Fork Rent machines was over 1200 acres and they had to operate through variable conditions and terrain over the period. Fork Rent's extensive and the market's newest fleet meant that the organisers benefited from a range of different sized Telehandlers for specialist jobs, ranging from 7m to 14m sizes. The Festival's demanding schedules meant that every machine and associated backup performance was monitored: Fork Rent delighted the Festival team by hitting all performance indicators and wait in anticipation for the next event scheduled for 2013. Phil Miller the Infrastructure Manager from Glastonbury Festival added "punctuality and reliability of all preparation and clean-up machinery is vital to the smooth running and success of our high profile festival. We are delighted with the end-to-end experience of working with Fork Rent from their friendly and committed staff, great back up service, through to the quality and reliability of their Telehandlers. Our planning has started for the next event and we look forward to working with Fork Rent again in this competitive arena”.
